OfficeMax, Safeway Join Forces to Sell Office Supplies
Naperville, Ill. OfficeMax is partnering with Safeway to market office and school supplies throughout approximately 1,600 of the grocer’s stores.
The partnership stems from an agreement between the two companies made in July, when Safeway began carrying about 300 OfficeMax products in co-branded aisle displays.
Through the new partnership, Safeway will now carry OfficeMax private-label products including TUL writing instruments and numerous grades of OfficeMax-brand computer and printer paper.
The store-within-a-store concept is expanding the breadth of both brands across new customer segments.
It also “creates a convenient access point for customers looking to replenish office and school supplies as they shop for groceries and other necessities,” said Ryan Vero, executive VP and CMO for OfficeMax.
