OfficeMax names Gangwal lead director

NAPERVILLE, Ill. OfficeMax announced that it has appointed Rakesh Gangwal as chair of the committee of outside directors and lead independent director. Gangwal replace Gary Michael, who did not stand for re-election in 2008.

Gangwal will continue to serve on the executive compensation committee and the governance and nominating committee.

Since June 2003, Gangwal has served as chairman, president, and ceo of Worldspan Technologies, a provider of travel technology and information services to the travel and transportation industry.
