DELRAY BEACH, Fla. —Office Depot released its fifth annual Green Book catalog, which contains thousands of environmentally-preferable office products, as well as products with green attributes.

The lastest edition of The Green Book features products to help small, medium or large businesses create greener offices. Items include environmentally-preferable furniture, technology, lighting, dishware, cleaning products, printer cartridges and office supplies. The Green Book also features educational content that teaches users about greening their offices in a cost-effective way.

“Thousands of Office Depot customers, from the largest Fortune 500 companies to the smallest non-profit organizations, have made the decision to go green in their purchasing habits,” said Steve Schmidt, president of the Business Solutions division. “The Green Book is one of many solutions Office Depot offers these customers to help them succeed in business.”

Nearly 2,200 of Office Depot’s greenest products are featured, along with more than 3,000 additional items identified as having green attributes.

“We believe that the Office Depot 2008-2009 Green Book is our best ever in meeting the needs of our customers,” said Yalmaz Siddiqui, director of environmental strategy. “We have incorporated feedback from a wide range of customers and stakeholders and have made [it] a very user-friendly, highly-educational tool. We also modernized the design of the book to give it a contemporary feel in line with the evolution of green design, from its granola roots to its increasingly relevant role in today’s business world.”
