Office Depot to offer tech support service

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. Office Depot has launched a new tech support service available for customers at their homes or offices and at 85 Office Depot locations in Florida. The company said its new "Tech Depot" Services are expected to be available in stores nationwide by the end of this year.

Office Depot's Tech Depot Services, according to the company, provides customers with  a one-stop shop for a wide variety of services including PC tune-ups and repairs, wireless network installation, new software installation, TV installation, and even setting up a data protection and back-up plan for critical files. All repairs and installations are implemented by professional technicians, with services being performed either in an Office Depot store, remotely through a secure Internet connection with the customer, or on-site at a customer’s home or office, depending on the service.

“Many small businesses and home office professionals simply don’t have the time or budget to handle their numerous computer and technology needs and are looking for help,” said Chuck Rubin, president of North American retail for Office Depot. “Tech Depot Services is a fast, convenient and cost-effective solution designed to help customers with the service and support they need to keep their PCs and networks up and running.”
