Office Depot expands government purchasing strategy
BOCA RATON, Fla. - Office Depot hasannounced a new partnership with the National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance (National IPA), enabling Office Depot to provide another cooperative purchasing vehicle for thousands of government agencies nationwide.
The company has partnered with National IPA to market its current agreement with the State of Florida’s Department of Management Services to public agencies nationwide. National IPA is a cooperative purchasing organization, established through a collaborative effort of public agencies across the United States, with the specific purpose of reducing procurement costs by leveraging group volume. In September, Office Depot announced that it was one of three statewide vendors awarded the State of Florida contract through a competitive solicitation process for office and educational consumables. Office Depot’s new program with National IPA will enable thousands of government agencies nationwide to purchase under Office Depot’s State of Florida contract at the same deep discounts offered to Florida agencies.
