Office Depot Details Environmental Progress

Delray Beach, Fla. Office Depot’s environmental efforts are detailed in its just-released 2008 Corporate Citizenship Report, entitled: "Taking Care of Business, People and the Planet.”

The Office Depot Corporate Citizenship Report covers activities in the 2007 calendar year and measures company data against guidelines established by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Among the many findings detailed in the report: The amount of waste recycled by the company grew to 49% in the United States. It also realized a 9.6% reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions associated with its U.S. transportation.
