Office Depot announces green goals

BOCA RATON, Fla. Office Depot has announced a variety of new green initiatives in honor of Earth Day.

The company announced that it will be the first office products company to support LEED certification for all of its major building types in North America. In addition, the company has achieved ISO14001 certification for most of its major locations in Europe, and BREEAM certification for its new U.K. Headquarters.

 

Office Depot's other green initiatives include a new global green brand strategy, selling 100% post consumer recycled paper at its North American retail stores, using bicycles for 75% of its product deliveries in London and implementing a battery recycling program at its corporate headquarters.
