NRF: Job creation key to retail turnaround

New York City Following President Obama’s State of the Union address Wednesday night, the National Retail Federation issued a statement saying it welcomed the president’s emphasis on job creation, and that jobs are the key to economic turnaround for retail.

“President Obama’s focus on the economy and job creation needs to be Washington’s highest priority,” said NRF president and CEO Tracy Mullin.

Mullin went on to say that the NRF, and retail as a whole, stands ready to work with the President and Congress to enact legislation that will “allow our nation’s economy to improve and put Americans back to work.”
