Washington, D.C. -- The National Retail Federation is NRF is hosting a night of shopping in the nation’s capital to honor retail’s entrepreneurial spirit.
The National Retail Federation’s “Retail’s Night Out” will be a celebration of Small Business Week with local merchants and national brands set up in one-night-only pop-up shops in Washington, D.C., on May 6. The event will also feature live music, local food trucks and a red carpet.
"Small business is the engine that drives the American economy,” said NRF senior VP/communications Bill Thorne. “Retail’s Night Out celebrates the men and women who have a dream to start a small retail business and work tirelessly to succeed. All of the retailers participating are proudly doing so because they embody the entrepreneurial spirit they share with thousands of others in communities large and small across America. We are honored to host them and are gratified to advocate on their behalf every day.”
The first-of-its-kind event will showcase local retailers and food trucks and live music inside The Park at CityCenter DC. Additionally, several retailers with storefronts at CityCenter will open their doors to celebrate the night in their own special way, including Allen Edmonds, Hugo Boss and Rare Sweets.
