NPD to track gaming subscriptions

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. The NPD Group today announced the release of new quarterly reports designed to track the online subscription-based market for the PC software, PC games and video games industries.

Using information gathered from more than 3 million online survey respondents, the reports, NPD said, analyze the market for paid online subscriptions and renewals.

These new additions to NPDs portfolio of products provide manufacturers, retailers, licensors, publishers, developers, and financial services companies with the ability to track the size, growth and demographics of the U.S. market for subscription-based games and software, said Martin Zagorsek, vp of The NPD Group.
