Nintendo topped GameStop's '07 purchases
GRAPEVINE, Texas GameStop reported in an SEC filing that Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and Electronic Arts accounted for 21%, 17%, 16%, and 11%, respectively, of its new product purchases for fiscal 2007. The company said it purchases most of its products from approximately 75 manufacturers and software publishers and approximately five distributors.
The company also announced that under its growth strategy it expects to open approximately 575 to 600 new stores in fiscal 2008.
