Niketown flagship in Manhattan closed due to bedbugs
New York City Nike has temporarily closed its Niketown flagship in Manhattan because of bedbugs, the New York Daily News reported. Signs on the building advised the store was “temporarily closed until further notice.”
In a statement, Nike said: "Our primary concern is the well being of our consumers and sales associate. We are taking all proper steps to eradicate the problem and we expect the store to reopen shortly."
Nike is the latest big retailer in Manhattan to get bit by the bedbug infestation. An Abercrombie & Fitch store in the city also was temporarily shut down the bed bug infestation as was a Victoria’s Secret.
