Nicole Miller meets buy impulse across channels
Effectively meeting the customer’s impulse to buy the moment it occurs is a crucial part of retail success.
Specialty fashion retailer Nicole Miller is meeting that impulse not only when it occurs, but where it occurs.
Nicole Miller is using the PowaTag mobile platform to allow customers to make digital purchases directly from social media and email promotions, as well as from its e-commerce site.
“We use PowaTag on our website for simple, one-click check out,” said Nicole Miller, founder of her namesake company. “Thanks to our partnership, our clients will now be able to instantly and conveniently buy directly from our social posts and email blasts.”
Nicole Miller began working with PowaTag during the 2014 holiday season.
“It was perfect timing because our site is a destination for holiday cocktail dresses,” said Miller. “It's a great way to speed up the checkout process during a busy shopping season.”
Implementation was fairly easy, according to Miller. PowaTag acts like an additional layer to Nicole Miller’s existing IT infrastructure by capturing orders and consumer engagement and “injecting” them into the order processing system.
“All our post-transaction workflows have remained untouched; we’ve simply added a way to generate new orders through new channels,” explained Miller. “In addition, PowaTag provided all of the information and technology support we needed to launch.”
Nicole Miller plans to convert all consumer touch-points into shoppable stores. Currently, the retailer is experimenting with sending different messages to customers in our Soho store through the use of PowaTag's audio tagging.
“It's fun to tag some of our favorite songs to certain styles from our latest collection and create a new way to engage with our customers,” said Miller. “We’re also interested in adding a PowaTag to our garment tags as a solution for ordering out-of-stock inventory, as well as allowing clients to browse and shop from our ‘PowaTagged’ online catalog.”
