New VP of sales for Nature's Best

BREA, Calif. — Health and natural products wholesale distributor Nature's Best has hired Amy Kirtland as the company’s VP of sales. Kirtland will be responsible for leading the company's sales team and executing the company's strategic growth plans.

Kirtland was executive director of Unified Grocers Naturally Division. As a key driver of the company's market center division, she primarily focused on natural and organic categories in independent stores. Prior to joining Unified Grocers, she worked for more than 15 years in the natural and specialty food business gaining experience in importing, brokerage functions, manufacturing and distribution.


In addition to her previous experience, Amy is a member of the FMI Sustainability Executive Committee and participates on the Food Waste Reduction Alliance. FMI provides leadership to companies in developing tools to help reduce waste, source sustainable products and increase recycling rates. She also serves as chair on the board of directors of Food Lifeline, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger.
