New sales team leader for Balance Innovations

LENEXA, Kan. — A little more than two weeks after bringing in former Safeway executive Steve Rempel as its new president and CEO, Balance Innovations has named Jay Atkinson its EVP of business development.

In this role, Atkinson will be responsible for managing the national sales team, as well as the development and execution of the company's sales strategy.

"I am excited to join an organization dedicated to providing technology solutions specifically developed for retailers," said Atkinson. "I look forward to working with the team as we build on our success and expand our next generation of solutions beyond cash office management."

Atkinson most recently was senior vice president of business development at Revolution Retail Systems. Prior to that, he was responsible for sales and products in the armored car industry while at ATI Systems/Garda and Dunbar.

His proven success in helping retailers improve their cash management operations through technology solutions makes him an excellent addition to Balance Innovations," said COO Gil Anderson.
