New online game designed to teach retail management

10/29/2007

SURREY, British Columbia Retail Hero, a provider of retail technology and POS systems has released an online game designed to give retailers a better understanding of the foundations of retail management.

The game consists of five levels that takes the player from a hot dog vendor to the owner of a national franchise. As the player advances through the levels, he/she is given the opportunity to purchase technology (such as a POS system, barcode scanners, pin-pad's, weigh scales etc) to be used to reduce shrinkage and increase revenues. The game also includes obstacles such as being selected for a random tax or getting sued for selling a counterfeit item. The player can borrow money and invest it in the technology to help build his/her business.

According to Retail Hero, the game is free to play and available at http://www.retailhero.com/retail_champion.aspx.
