The nation’s gambling capital is getting another high-end retail center, this one with Paris accents.
Wynn Las Vegas announced the development of Wynn Plaza, a 75,518-sq.-ft. luxury retail center. Debuting fall 2017, the complex will support the existing luxury retail collection at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, as well as bring the shopping experience to the high traffic area bordering Las Vegas Boulevard.
“We had 300 or more feet on the Strip right on the sidewalk in unused real estate that was very, very valuable," said Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts. "This represents an opportunity for future development that is quite unique."
The design of Wynn Plaza will be influenced by European elements, specifically the legendary Avenue Matignon in the Right Bank of Paris, known for its elegance and sophistication.
Conceived and designed by Wynn in collaboration with Roger Thomas, executive VP of architecture DeRuyter Butler, and Wynn Design and Development, the center will feature two stories covered by atriums and a skylight rotunda that is prominently showcased in the heart of the space.
