4/12/2011

INDIANAPOLIS -- Finish Line announced that Donald Gualdoni has been appointed VP business development and corporate strategy, effective April 14.

Gualdoni has 13 years experience in business development and strategy. He comes to Finish Line following four years with LexisNexis, where he most recently served as senior director, strategy and planning, a post he held since 2009. Prior to LexisNexis, Gualdoni was director of business development and innovation for Circuit City for two years. Earlier in his career, he served as engagement manager with consultancy McKinsey & Company, among other leadership roles in consulting and industry.

At Finish Line, Gualdoni will be involved in the evaluation, development and implementation of corporate strategic initiatives that will result in enterprise growth outside of the company’s existing business. He will report to chief administrative officer Gary Cohen.

“As Finish Line pursues our strategy to drive long-term shareholder value through growth outside of our existing business, I am pleased to add Don’s expertise to the team I am leading on this initiative,” said Cohen. “Don is an innovator with a strong track record of helping organizations achieve growth objectives. He is a welcome addition to our team.”

Finish Line also announced the appointment of Terry Ledbetter to the position of CIO, effective April 14. He reports to president and COO Steve Schneider.

Ledbetter comes to Finish Line from Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he served as VP information technology. Prior to Dick’s he was a manager consultant with Cap Gemini for three years, where he collaborated with several major retail clients to achieve their strategic technology goals. Ledbetter’s professional career began in 1994 with SMC Pneumatics, where he served as director, IT project office and operations, until joining Cap Gemini.

At Finish Line, Ledbetter will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s information systems strategy, which supports more than 600 stores as well as a fast-growing e-commerce business. He will lead the IT team as it continues to drive key initiatives designed to maintain a competitive edge and enhance Finish Line’s ability to connect with and serve customers through technology and innovation.

“Information technology is critical to the growth of Finish Line and essential to delivering premium service to our customers,” Schneider said. “We are making significant investments in technology and infrastructure and are excited to have a talented and experienced leader such as Terry join our team. We look forward to his contributions as we strengthen the role that innovation and technology play throughout our company as we continue to grow.”
