New execs named at Best Buy
MINNEAPOLIS Best Buy announced that Neville Roberts has been promoted to Best Buy chief information officer with enterprise-wide responsibility, a role previously held by Robert Willett, CEO of Best Buy International. Willett had held the dual roles of chief executive officer of Best Buy International and the enterprise’s chief information officer since 2004. Roberts will continue to report to Willett.
Scott Wheway was named chief operating officer of Best Buy International, the strategic business unit focused on the enterprise’s growth outside of the United States. Wheway reports to Robert Willett, the CEO of Best Buy International.
Sean Skelley, a 20-year veteran of Best Buy, was named president, International Retail Operations, a newly created position. Skelley reports to Scott Wheway, the newly appointed chief operating officer of Best Buy International. As president of International Retail Operations, Skelley leads Best Buy’s operations in Canada, China, Mexico and Turkey. He also leads Best Buy’s multi-channel work in Europe through the company’s partnership with The Carphone Warehouse.
