Neiman Marcus names head of human resources
DALLAS — Karen Katz, president and CEO of The Neiman Marcus Group, announced that Joseph Weber will be joining the company Sept. 4, as SVP, chief human resources officer. Weber will be responsible for all areas of human resources and loss prevention including associate relations, learning and development, recruitment, compensation, internal communications and benefits.
"Joe Weber's extensive executive and international experience at companies known for world-class human resources practices makes him the perfect addition to The Neiman Marcus Group team, " said Karen Katz. "Along with his great leadership qualities and compelling vision of the strategic role of human resources, Joe also has a mastery and knowledge of talent management, recruitment, learning and development and organizational design."
Weber joins Neiman Marcus from Bank of America, where he held various positions, most recently head human resources EMEA, Latin America and Canada. Prior to Bank of America, he was with Dell Inc. and General Electric Company.
