Dallas – Shopping is becoming more of a snap than ever for mobile-savvy customers at Neiman Marcus.
The tony department store chain is partnering with visual search technology provider Slyce Inc. to expand the “Snap. Find. Shop” feature available in the retailer’s mobile app.
The feature now enables shoppers to snap 3D images of items across any category and receive direct or closely matching items from Neiman Marcus's product offering, which can be immediately purchased at any omnichannel point of customer engagement.
The expanded service agreement with Neiman Marcus, which previously covered visual search across the two categories of shoes and handbags, comes as a result of growing demand for image-based search by mobile consumers.
"Online shopping begins with search - either through key words or navigating filters,” said Wanda Gierhart, CMO, Neiman Marcus Group. “With the expansion of Snap. Find. Shop. to all categories of merchandise, we are able to exceed our customers' expectations and allow them to easily shop with us at any time and from any place. "Visual search removes hurdles, taking the customer directly from inspiration to gratification."
