Multichannel retailing top concern for '08
NEW YORK Online and multichannel retailing had the greatest effect on retailers this year, according to survey by the National Retail Federation.
The survey found that 40% of retailers said that online/multichannel retailing had the biggest impact on their companies in 2007, followed by retail theft/loss prevention (41%) and data breaches (12%). Furthermore, 35% of retailers surveyed felt that multichannel retailing will become even more important in 2008.
With multichannel and online retailing a top priority, its no surprise that the NRF survey found that nearly all retailers (94%) will explore other multichannel options, such as online or mobile.
