Mom Brands makes donation to Breakfast Club of Canada
Mom Brands will be making a donation to the Breakfast Club of Canada. For every bag of Sally’s ready-to-eat cereals purchased at Canadian Walmart stores from now until Dec. 31, Mom Brands will donate 5 cents to the Breakfast Club of Canada, up to $75,000.
The Breakfast Club of Canada works with regional and local community agencies to help support and improve youth development and nutrition. More than 130,000 students have access to breakfast each morning through the Breakfast Club of Canada in more than 1,200 schools across the nation. Walmart locations carrying Sally’s can be found using the online store locator.
“At Mom Brands, we’re committed to giving back to communities,” said Linda Fisher, director of corporate communication for Mom Brands. “We chose to make a financial donation to the Breakfast Club of Canada because we believe that children everywhere should be able to enjoy a delicious bowl of cereal for breakfast — and Sally’s cereals are full of whole grains and essential vitamins and minerals, which is the kind of nutrition that all kids need to start their day.”
Priced 20 to 30% less per gram than other ready-to-eat cereals, Sally’s cereal is available in nine varieties, including Sunny Honey Nut O's, Cocoa Sweets, Raisins & Bran, Marshmallow Moment, Honey Graham Bliss, Blue Pom Bundles, Honey Puffed Delight, Sweet Wheat Bundles, Honey Oat Medley and Cinnamon Bliss. The brand also includes seven varieties of instant oatmeal.
Family-owned since 1919, Mom Brands has a growing portfolio of brands, from ready-to-eat cereal to instant oatmeal and hot wheat. The company does business in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
