Mobile commerce platform names SVP operations

BOSTON — Roam, a leading mobile commerce platform provider, has appointed Scott Goldthwaite as SVP operations. In this role, Scott will assure that the firm’s operations and business processes are aligned with the rapidly evolving needs of its customers as they deploy mobile point of sale solutions. This includes the management of Roam’s Help Desk, IT, data center operations, payment gateway and quality assurance functions.

“Scott’s extensive experience in operations, business process optimization and international deployments will allow us to field teams who can help our customers effectively and efficiently use the Roam platform to meet their business and sales objectives”, said Ken Paull, CEO of Roam.

Recently, Scott Goldthwaite served as a senior member of the leadership team at Planet Payment where he was responsible for directing the product management and marketing efforts to drive Planet Payments business globally. Prior to Planet Payment, Goldthwaite was VP mobile business development at Hypercom (acquired by VeriFone) where he was responsible for business development and marketing of Hypercom’s integrated payment solutions and mobile POS terminal solutions.

Scott has authored several patents in the field of mobile payments and holds a B.S. degree in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.
