Men's Wearhouse solidifies merchandising and sourcing exec team
Men's Wearhouse has named Scott Norris as Men's Wearhouse brand and Moores brand president and Paul Fitzpatrick as Jos. A. Bank's brand president. Additionally, it has appointed Jim Thorne EVP of direct sourcing. All three will report to Mary Beth Blake, the company's president and chief merchandising officer.

Through the years, he has built his reputation in the menswear industry for creating dynamic teams and developing leaders. We are excited to see him bring his knowledge to Jos. A. Bank as brand president. Jim Thorne brings extensive knowledge and experience in product development, manufacturing, and sourcing to our company. Jim has played a major role in growing Jos. A. Bank to a $1 billion brand."
From 2011 to 2014, Norris was EVP of merchandising for Men's Wearhouse, Moores and tuxedo rental. Norris began his career at Men's Wearhouse as a buyer in 1996, and worked his way up through the company by becoming divisional merchandise manager of Dress Furnishings in 2001, VP and general merchandise manager (GMM) in 2005, and SVP and GMM in 2006. Norris has a bachelor’s of arts degree in marketing from California State University Sacramento.
Fitzpatrick was most recently president and chief operating officer of ESP Group Ltd. from 2010 to 2013 and previously, he was EVP and GMM of men's and children's for Macy's West. From 1992 to 2009, Fitzpatrick held various positions at Macy's West, including EVP and GMM home furnishings, regional store director, and San Francisco Union Square store manager. From 1988 to 1991, Fitzpatrick served as SVP and GMM and SVP and director of stores at I Magnin in San Francisco. Fitzpatrick holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Manhattan College.
Thorne will be primarily responsible for product development, manufacturing and sourcing. He was EVP of merchandising and chief merchandising officer for Jos. A. Bank since 2009. He joined Jos. A. Bank in 1986 and has held a variety of positions as he worked his way up through the company. Thorne was VP and GMM for Tailored Clothing from 2000 to 2005 and SVP of planning and allocation from 2006 to 2008. He started his retailing career as a management trainee at Belk Department Stores, eventually becoming a buyer. Thorne graduated in 1982 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of business administration degree.
