Men’s Wearhouse to Close Quebec Facility

Houston Men's Wearhouse Inc. said Monday it will close its manufacturing facility in Montreal, Quebec, in or around July 2008.

Chief executive George Zimmer said in a statement it could "no longer swing against the tide of the strengthening Canadian dollar and the increasing pace of imports by our competitors."

Zimmer said the company will help its employees at the facility transition to other employment "as best we can."
