Meijer offers last-minute shopping on Christmas Eve

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Meijer announced that all of its stores will remain open until 7:00 p.m. Christmas Eve, offering last-minute shoppers the opportunity to purchase gifts and take advantage of Meijer special promotions until just before the Christmas holiday.

"We are amping up our promotions and sales for the final few days before the holiday," said Frank Guglielmi, director of public relations for the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer. "Meijer customers know they can always find great deals at our stores, but we anticipate a brisk couple days as shoppers grab last-minute bargains and take advantage of even more promotions."

In addition to a variety of sales throughout the stores, Meijer has brought back its popular "Santa Bucks" promotion, which provides customers discount coupons of varying amounts that they can apply to the most popular holiday gifts. "Santa Bucks" will be available at Meijer until the stores close Christmas Eve.
