Meg Whitman Won’t Seek Re-Election to Gap Board

San Francisco, Gap Inc. announced on Monday that Meg Whitman, president and CEO of eBay, has decided not to stand for re-election to the company’s board of directors when her current term expires in May, due to her other professional commitments.

Whitman has served on Gap's board since 2003. Gap said it is seeking another board member who is independent of the company.
