Mattress Giant grows with strategic acquisitions

Addison, Texas Mattress Giant has announced that it has acquired Mattress Expo, which operates 24 stores in the Atlanta area, and Clearwater Mattress, which runs 21 stores in the Tampa Bay, Fla. area.

The two acquisitions brings the number of Mattress Giant stores to more than 340 stores.

"These two strategic growth opportunities are part of our year-long expansion and growth and these two key markets have tremendous future potential for our company," said Barrie Brown, president and ceo of Mattress Giant. "We're pleased to have the Mattress Expo and Clearwater Mattress teams on-board and are welcoming them to the Mattress Giant family. We are working to make this a smooth transition for all employees."  

In addition, Clearwater Mattress and Mattress Expo locations will be remodeled to match the in-store formats and shopper experience provided in Mattress Giant locations across the country.
