Walmart’s ad match policy states that if its customers find an item at another store at a lower price, it will honor the lower price. In fact, the retailer is currently touting its Christmas ad match policy, which covers electronics, toys and grocery produce.

But an Arizona man who is being described by a few news sources as a loyal customer who visited his San Tan Valley Walmart as often as twice daily is reportedly banned from any and every Walmart locations worldwide. Why?

Joe Cantrell — the man in question, a disabled former pro wrestler — said that it was because he took advantage of the company’s ad match policy. Walmart has since responded by saying that Cantrell was banned not for ad matching too many times but for threatening a Walmart employee.
