Master Bilt Walk-In Refrigeration Panels Offer High R-Value Ratings
Master-Bilt, New Albany, Miss., now offers one of the highest R-value ratings in the industry with its high-quality walk-in refrigeration panels made of foamed-in-place polyurethane.
The 4-in. panel has an R-value of 33, the 5-in. has an R-value of 41, and the 6-in. has an R-value of 50. Master-Bilt is one of the only manufacturers to offer a 6-in. ceiling panel of up to 23 ft. in length with no additional support needed. To comply with the current California Energy Code, 5- or 6-in. panels are required.
Effective Jan. 1, 2009, the Energy Independence and Security Act will require walk-ins, with floor areas of less than 3,000 sq. ft., to comply with special efficiency-boosting design requirements to keep energy usage at reasonable levels. Master-Bilt meets or exceeds the new energy requirements.
