Masco names chief design officer

TAYLOR, Mich. Masco has named Charles Jones chief design officer, effective May 3. Jones will be responsible for the global leadership of design strategies across Masco's business units.

Prior to joining Masco, Jones was VP global consumer design and user experience at Whirlpool.  At Whirlpool he led a global cross functional staff and has been credited for turning Whirlpool into a global design leader. He joined Whirlpool in 1996 from Xerox where he led the global industrial design and human interface department with locations in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
