Marc's drug program penny less than competitors
CLEVELAND Cleveland-based Marc's is competing with Wal-Mart, Target and Giant Eagle by pricing its drug program at a penny less than its rivals.
According to reports, Marc's, which operates pharmacies in 25 of its 55 stores in Ohio and four of its siz Xpect Discounts stores in Connecticut, is offering more than 400 commonly prescribed generic drugs for $3.99 or less.
Wal-Mart first unveiled its $4 generics program in September 2006 and since then Target, Giant Eagle and others have followed suit with similar programs of their own.
