Macy’s Launches Star Rewards Program

Cincinnati, Federated Department Stores is launching a new, nationwide Macy’s customer-loyalty program, called Star Rewards, in coordination with the launch of the Macy’s nameplate across the country. All active customers in five Macy’s divisions are being enrolled automatically in the new program, which becomes effective March 1. Nearly 16 million cards are being mailed out.

The new cards are color-coded to represent the customer’s purchasing level at Macy’s, with each customer tier receiving a certain level of benefits.

In addition to rewards tied to usage, the program also includes frequent-buyer benefits in categories such as hosiery and intimate apparel.
