Macchi named head of Guess Europe

LOS ANGELES Guess? has announced that Massimo Macchi will join the company as president of Guess Europe in December. In this position, Macchi will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the European business, as well as spearheading the company's strategic initiatives in Europe and the Middle East. He will report directly to Paul Marciano, ceo and vice chairman of the board of Guess?.

Most recently, Macchi was the group evp and ceo of the luxury clothing company Gianfranco Ferre, and was also evp of IT Holdings, which develops and manages international brands such as Gianfranco Ferre, Versace Jeans Couture, Versace Sport and Malo, among others. Previously, he held various senior management positions at Bulgari Group, where he spent more than ten years, as well as at Gucci Group and Testoni Group, among others.
