Lowe's makes international debut in Canada
TORONTO Lowe's announced today that it has opened its first three stores in Canada in the Greater Toronto Area. According to Lowe's this is the company's first venture outside of the United States.
The three stores opened this morning in South Brampton, Brantford and Hamilton. Three additional stores are slated to open February 1, and a seventh is planned to open shortly thereafter. More than 15 additional Canadian sites are in various stages of development, the company reported.
"Today is about delivering on the promise we've made to Canadian customers since we announced our decision to bring Lowe's passion for customer service to Canada," said Don Stallings, president of Lowe's Canada. "Lowe's is ready to meet the unique home improvement needs of Canadians with our everyday low prices, products and services. Every customer presents a new opportunity to deliver on that promise."
