Looking for a product? Try the mobile Yellow Pages

12/22/2014

Orem, Utah – Checking the Yellow Pages for various types of information is a time-honored tradition, but now consumers can use the mobile version to find products. App developer Avantar is releasing a feature in the Yellow Pages app that lets shoppers pinpoint locations of products.

The Product Search feature allows users to identify product location, search inventories of retailers and buy online. Designed for Apple and Android devices, the free app is connected to Walmart, Macy's, Home Depot, Toys "R" Us, RadioShack, Best Buy and hundreds more retailers.

In addition, the Yellow Pages app helps users find locations of businesses and retail stores while providing coupons, voice navigation and contact information.

"With the holidays here, last-minute shopping can be stressful," said Ochoa. "Instead of waiting for shipping or calling each store to see if the product is in stock, users can check product availability on the app itself and then buy it at the store or online."
