Longtime Nordstrom exec joins DSW in big role

4/28/2017

A veteran Nordstrom executive has been named COO of DSW.

The footwear retailer appointed Michele Love as executive VP and COO, effective May 1, 2017. With responsibility for marketing and digital, she will oversee all aspects of customer engagement, driving messaging across all touchpoints.

Additionally, Love will be responsible for delivering DSW's warehouse experience in its stores nationwide. She will report directly to DSW CEO Roger Rawlins, who was promoted to the head position in January following the retirement of former CEO Michael MacDonald.

For the past 32 years, Love served in several leadership capacities within operations, merchandising and marketing at Nordstrom Inc. Most recently she has served as VP, director of Rack Stores at Nordstrom, where she spearheaded the expansion of the outlet concept.

In other appointments, DSN promoted James Weinberg to the role of general merchandise manager of women's footwear and Nancy Pastor to general merchandise manager of accessories.

As of April 27, 2017, DSW operates 508 stores in 43 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, along with an e-commerce site.
