Longs reports 9.1% 4Q sales increase

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. Longs Drug Stores today reported that preliminary drug store sales for the fourth quarter were $1.34 billion, a 9.1% increase over last year. Same-store sales for the quarter were down 0.6%.

For the full year period Longs reported total sales of $4.9 billion, a 4.9% increase over last year. Same-store sales for the full year were up 0.9%.
