Long-time Wal-Mart vet joins children's charity


SALT LAKE CITY Don Harris, a 24-year Wal-Mart veteran is joining the Children's Miracle Network as senior vp, major gift officer to help grow the endowment and net asset reserves.

"Don brings a wealth of knowledge and incredible passion to our organization," said Jim Hall, Children's Miracle Network president and ceo. "We are fortunate to have such a dedicated individual as part of our team."

Harris began at Wal-Mart as an assistant store manager in 1980, eventual becoming an evp in 2004. He has also served as a member of the Children's Miracle Network Board of Governors since 2000.
