Lindt has sweet tooth for social media

STRATHAM, N.H. — Premium chocolatier Lindt USA and its Lindt Bear premium chocolate figure launched the Mastering the Joy of Chocolate instant win sweepstakes on Facebook and www.LindtBear.com. The sweepstakes will give consumers a chance to win an assortment of prizes daily through Dec. 31, and could provide a healthy boost to online traffic during the holiday as well as promote engagement with the Lindt brand.



Prizes include a Lindt Bear gift basket, a year supply of Lindt Lindor truffles, a $25 American Express gift card, a tablet computer and a $2,000 grand prize. Lindt will also launch the "Say it with the Lindt Bear" app for iPhone and iPad. Customers can use the app to create customized holiday greetings for family and friends. The app enables consumers to select a holiday scene, choose holiday-related activities for the Lindt Bear and record a custom message for Lindt Bear to recite. Consumers can download the "Say it with the Lindt Bear" app free through iTunes and on www.LindtBear.com.



Lindt also plans to host two pop-up holiday experiences in New York that will bring Lindt Bear to life. The events will take place from Thursday, Nov. 29 through Saturday, Dec. 1, and again from Thursday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 8. Along with photo opportunities, the events will allow visitors to get hands-on experience using the "Say it with the Lindt Bear" app, and there will be free Lindt chocolate samples.
