The Limited completes rollout of Torex Retail POS
New York City The Limited has deployed Torex Retail Holdings’ Torex Retail POS across the company’s national network of women's specialty stores. The project includes the rollout of Torex Retail POS software on 750 IBM touch-screen terminals across 228 locations, and a fixed cost maintenance contract over five years.
Since rolling out the Torex solution, The Limited has achieved a key savings objective of reducing its POS population by 20% to 25%. The retailer also has gained debit-card functionality and more productive and flexible promotions capabilities, which will enable it to devise and execute more creative promotions to boost sales and secure customer loyalty, according to Torex.
"Our selection of Torex Retail POS was weighted heavily by the superior scores on our ARTS based RFP process," said Roger Coville, CIO, The Limited, which is owned by Sun Capital. "No POS roll-out is flawless, but we had our pilot running in five months and the whole chain updated in 14 [months] with very few distractions to running the business."
