Limited Brands looks to raise $500 million

Columbus, Ohio Limited Brands Inc. said Monday that it is seeking to raise about $500 million in a private offering. The company said it will use the proceeds of the institutional private placement to repurchase or repay existing debt and for general corporate purposes. The senior notes due 2019 will be guaranteed by certain of the company's subsidiaries.
