Limited Brands Dec. comps down 8%

COLUMBUS, Ohio Limited Brands Thursday reported comparable-store sales decrease of 8% for the month of December.

The company reported net sales of $1.74 billion for the five weeks ended Jan. 5, compared to sales of $2.03 billion for the five weeks ended Dec. 30, 2006.

Limited Brands said it now expects to report fourth quarter earnings per share at the low-to-mid point of its previously announced range of 90 cents to $1.05.
