Libbey board elects former Mikasa exec

TOLEDO, Ohio Libbey Inc. has reported that Jean-Rene Gougelet has joined its board of directors. Gougelet is currently a strategy consultant with Vido Enterprises, providing guidance in strategic planning and growth management to middle market companies. Prior to joining Vido Enterprises he served at Arc International in Secaucus, New Jersey as ceo of its Mikasa business from 2001 through 2005. He also served from 1991 through 2001 and 2003 through 2005 as the ceo of Arc North America in Millville, N.J.

Commenting on the new director, John Meier, Libbey's chairman and ceo stated," Libbey is excited to have Jean-Rene Gougelet join our board.
