LG names VP solar division

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. LG Electronics announced the appointment of energy industry veteran Geoff Slevin to VP solar division for LG Electronics North America.

Slevin is responsible for sales, marketing and business development for the company's new commercial solar business in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Reporting to LG Electronics North America president and CEO Wayne Park, Slevin is based in the company's North American headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

"Geoff's extensive experience with sales and operations in the solar industry will prove very valuable as LG continues to invest in alternative energy," said Park. "We have an aggressive growth plan, and Geoff will play a crucial role in establishing and cultivating LG's solar renewable energy business in North America."
