LG Electronics names human resources vp

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. David Edwards has been named vp of human resources for LG Electronics North America. In this new position, Edwards will be responsible for wide-ranging work force management issues such as employee benefits and compensation, cultural assimilation and organizational/business development across varied business units in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Edwards joined LG in June 2007 as vp of human resources, for LG Electronics USA Inc., where he spearheaded the company's U.S. HR strategy. Before joining LG, Edwards led human resources for four years at Samsung Electronics America where he directed the national HR team and implemented global HR standards.
