North York, Canada - Leon’s Furniture has launched a newly upgraded e-commerce site featuring a fully responsive design, using technology and development services from Blueport Commerce. The new Leon’s website features design and functionality improvements including JavaScript technology to improve homepage, product detail page and shopping cart speed.
Other features include advanced predictive search functionality with in-search thumbnail images that allow store associates and shoppers to find items by SKU, product name, popularity, top product matches or more general search terms. Improved facets within category search pages allow customizable filtering capabilities by price, dimensions, color/finish, style, function, sale/clearance items, new arrivals and more
Furthermore, enhanced geo-location technology allows shoppers to find nearby showroom locations, displaying the products they’re looking for and the ability to schedule in-store pick-up or home delivery based on their local store, a “Wish List” feature that allows shoppers to save items for later in-store viewing, and greater integration with social media channels.
In the first month, the new site has generated results including a 200% increase in revenue from smartphone sales, 86% increase in revenue from tablets, and 37% increase in revenue across all devices.
