Leadership changes at Family Dollar

MATTHEWS, N.C. — Family Dollar has announced that EVP of supply chain Charles S. Gibsonwill leave the company to pursue other interests.

“Charlie has overseen the growth and development of our supply chain network and has been a valued part of our team,” said Howard R. Levine, chairman and CEO. “We appreciate the contributions Charlie has made to the company’s success, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Family Dollar brought in Gibson as VP of logistics in September 1997 and promoted him to SVP of distribution and logistics in October 1999 and to EVP of supply chain in September 2003.

Family Dollar operates 7,600 stores in rural and urban settings across 45 states.
