Kroger spent $80k lobbying government in Q1
Cincinnati Kroger Co. spent $80,000 in the first quarter to lobby on business issues, according to a recent disclosure report.
The grocer lobbied the federal government on food safety, food subsidy programs, health care and other issues during the period, according to the report filed with the House clerk's office.
The company spent $30,000 on lobbying in the year-ago period and $75,000 in fourth quarter 2009.
